My story

My name is Banjo. I am an adorable 1 year old, 18 lb mix of Pekingnese, Chihuahua and Cattle Dog. What a combo! I am a well-trained little guy. I am perfectly housebroken, I do not need to use a crate as I am well-behaved when left alone. I really love to walk and hike. I have a lot of stamina so I can actually go on those long hikes that my bigger dog friends can go on. Don't worry - I can keep up! I know a lot of commands and learn quickly; I am food motivated. I am very loyal to my humans. I have done well around other dogs but prefer to be around the bigger dogs. I can play a little rough with my smaller counterparts. I truly think I am a big dog myself! I have lived as an only for my young life and we know I would be perfectly fine continuing in that manner. Younger kiddos are too much for me or rather, I am too much for them! I am not mean but I get overstimulated easily around toddlers and crawling babies. I also can do a bit of heeling. In my everyday life, I would prefer an adult only home or one with adults and older kids. I just feel better that way! I am a wonderful size, a real cutie and such a catch for an active family that wants a fun and intelligent companion. I am located in NJ! If you have any questions or would like to adopt Banjo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
