My story

Tommy is a very shy cat who is looking for a calm, patient home where he can settle in at his own pace. He thrives in a quiet environment with a predictable routine and a gentle, understanding adopter. Tommy came from a home with another cat, but unfortunately, they did not get along - so he may be happiest as the only pet in the home. While it may take a few meet and greets for Tommy to feel comfortable, he's worth the wait. Once he starts to trust, he enjoys gentle pets and playing with a wand toy. With time, kindness, and consistency, Tommy has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.Do you think you could be Tommy's person? Here are some ways to find out: 1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or 2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
