My story

Mac is a sweet, resilient boy with a heart as big as his adorable, sorrowful eyes. At just 4 years old, Mac has already overcome so much. When he first came to us, he was suffering from a severe skin condition that caused fur loss over half his body and constant discomfort. But thanks to lots of love and care, Mac is on the mend and starting to regrow his gorgeous, shiny black coat. He’s come so far—and now all he needs is a family to call his own.Mac is a total lovebug who thrives on human attention. He’ll melt your heart and gently nudge his way into your lap (and your soul) before you even realize it. His expressive eyes have a way of pulling you in—he`s got that special kind of charm that can’t be taught.This lovable guy is also a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs. He enjoys calm strolls around the play yard with his canine pals and would love a home with a doggy friend. If you already have a pup, we’ll set up a meet-and-greet at MCAC to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone.Mac’s experience with cats is unknown, so we recommend slow, supervised introductions just to be safe.Because of his sensitive skin and recovery journey, Mac will need a family committed to ongoing care, including staying up to date on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. We recommend Bravecto, which not only protects him but also supports healthy skin.Mac is currently available for foster-to-adopt, which means you can start bonding with him now while we finalize his medical care (including his upcoming neuter appointment).Come meet Mac and see why everyone here has fallen head over heels for him—we know you will too.
