My story

#A5705767 Meet Onya , a stunning 2-year-old German Shepherd gal with a cozy caramel coat drizzled in chocolate and the cutest smoky eyeliner you've ever seen. Lithe and leggy, she's basically a supermodel with the heart of a playful puppy - bright, bouncy, and full of life! Onya adores her people and wants nothing more than to be your loyal little shadow, soaking up every bit of affection you’re willing to give. She’s still a big baby at heart and could use a refresher on the puppy basics - leash work (she’s got the gist, just needs a little polish), obedience, and possibly potty training. But she’s incredibly smart, gentle with treats, and super eager to learn, so training should come easy with a little time and love. If you’re a fan of the shepherd breed and looking for a sweet, energetic best friend for life, Onya is ready to steal your heart! &#226&#156&#168   -2 year old brown German Shepherd -62 pound spayed female  -up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 6/9/25 as an owner surrender - but we have no notes and no idea why, as Onya is a total sweetheart! -lithe, leggy, total looker of a pup, with a plush, chocolate drizzled caramel coat and adorably smoky eyeliner - perfect for lovers of the breed -really just an extra big puppy, with bright, bouncy energy and enthusiasm that is sure to bring a smile to your face -deeply craves love and affection from her people - very sweet and longs to be close to you, like your little shadow -given her young age and energy level, could benefit from all the puppy basics in terms of training - leash work (already has these down but could use a little refining), basic commands/obedience (knows sit very well but could learn much more), and possibly potty training -super smart and treat motivated with a gentle mouth, which will hopefully make this training a breeze!   ONYA’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/A0Nvfwq1wOw   For more information, contact volunteer Lor at  lor@unitedhopeforanimals.org ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. For more information about the pet, the adoption process, or our program please contact the Volunteer Adoption Coordinator listed above. Because animals are adopted/rescued daily, please also check the United Hope for Animals Facebook page to see if an animal is still available OR call the Baldwin Park Shelter at 626-962-3577. When inquiring about an animal, please reference the animal’s ID number. This will enable the volunteer or Baldwin Park employee to locate the status of the pet. Thank you for supporting rescue.July 15, 2025, 5:13 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt ONYA, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
