Name:  Cooper         Best Guess for Breed: Coonhound mix   Best Guess for Age:  9 years as of July 2025         SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:   87 lbs   Gets Along With:  Cooper has lived with other dogs, cats, and kids and done wonderfully with them all!   Currently Living at:   DC area home   All about Cooper: Cooper came into our care back in 2017 and was adopted out at that time. Over the past eight years, he has been in a loving home. He raised the children in that home - they grew up and are in college now. He lived with cats and was great with them. He is wonderful with other dogs and enjoys interacting with them - he has gone to doggie daycare. He had free roam in the home - when he first arrived in the home, he was crated and was good in the crate. But they stopped using a crate with him long ago. Still, his past experience with crates was positive.   Through no fault of anyone at all - he now needs a new home. He's in his senior years - medium energy, still eager for his walks, and great at chilling in the home. And he has all those years of loving and being loved - he knows what it's like to be a cherished family pet, and that is what he wants most of all now. To offer loyal companionship and be safe and loved.   If you can give Cooper the loving chapter he is seeking - if he sounds like exactly the dog for you - reach out to us! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $375, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
