Beefy Rey

My story

When Beefy Rey first arrived, he was all nerves - trembling, wide-eyed, and unsure of the world. But give this big boy a little time and some love, and BAM: out comes the goofy, zoomie-powered cuddle tank hiding underneath. Now? He's 88 pounds of pure beefcake joy. He whins with excitement to get outside, zipping around the yard like a freight train with feelings. He LOVES his people, gives enthusiastic (okay, slightly clumsy) hugs, and lives for back scratches.In playgroup, he was a total gentleman - respectful, friendly, and fun with the ladies. He clearly enjoys other dogs and could do well with the right canine match.One of our Animal Control Officers took him out for a day of rest and relaxation. Here are his observations: "He was very sweet. Getting his collar on took some time, and he pulls hard on the leash, so given his size could be difficult for some. But other than that, everything was good. He jumped in the car with no needed encouragement, but he seems to think he's a lap dog lol. He wanted to lay on me and be close the entire way, it took some time before he would lay down in the back. We took in the sights and smells around my area and grabbed lunch on our way back. He doesn't seem very affectionate in the kennel but once we left the shelter he was all about it."Underneath all that muscle is a marshmallow who just wants to be loved.
