My story

Meet Rico, a 1-Year-Old Poodle Mix and 100% certified goofball. Rico is the life of the paw-ty! This fun-loving, playful, and wildly affectionate pup is on the lookout for a forever home that matches his zest for life. Whether he’s rolling in the grass, chasing after a toy, or snuggling on the couch at the end of the day, Rico knows how to make every moment count. He is house-trained and working on settling down in his crate.  He’s still mastering the fine art of leash walking, “off,” and “settle,” but his foster says he’s picking things up quickly thanks to his smarts and eagerness to please. Got a pocketful of treats? Rico will have a pawshake and a sit ready in no time. Rico is great with other dogs, especially if they appreciate a buddy who plays with enthusiasm. He’s working on respecting boundaries and learning that not every dog wants to wrestle as much as he does—but hey, he’s young and eager to learn! Rico would do best with someone who is home often since he thrives when he's near his person. He’s working on his independence, but for now, he'd really prefer a sidekick gig. Rico would do well in a home without children or with older, dog-savvy kids who understand that he’s still a work-in-progress. Due to his vocal nature and excitement for life, apartment living wouldn’t be a great match but a yard or space to play? He’d be all in. Rico is given an A+ in cuteness, intelligence, and treat motivation. He loves toys—especially ones he can toss in the air like a tiny, furry quarterback.  Rico is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. His adoption fee is $415.
