My story

Vienna is a 4 year-old Chihuahua mix who came to us from county along with a group of dogs needing urgent skin treatment. While her physical healing has come a long way, Vienna’s emotional recovery has taken time, patience, and a lot of love. Currently being professionally trained with our partners at Connected Canines, Vienna is working hard to build confidence, learn basic cues, and feel safe in the world around her. She’s a shy and sensitive girl who tends to shut down when overwhelmed, so we’re taking things slow and making sure she’s truly ready for the next chapter of her life. Vienna is quiet, gentle, and incredibly tender once she trusts you. She’s a fearful avoidant pup, which means she tends to shut down or flee when overwhelmed—making her a potential flight risk. She’ll thrive in a family committed to safety, patience, and compassion. A calm, secure home with a family who understands that progress comes in small, beautiful steps.
