My story

Meet an All American dog - Sissy. Who wouldn't want to come home to this smiling face, a wagging tail and tap dancing with joy that you're back? She has a beautiful black brindle coat with white accents, including on the tip of her tail. As with many dogs in rescue we don't have her complete back story, but here's what we know. Sissy and her puppies were abandoned and a kind rescue group took them, and they found their way to CritterHouseKC foster homes. (By the way, have you considered being a foster home?) Since arriving in Kansas City, Sissy has made new friends with the resident foster dog and cat, learned to ride quietly in the car or with her nose out the window and walk on a leash. A quick learner, she also has learned to sit and will shake on occasion (still learning). She sleeps in a dog bed near foster mom. She is quiet in the house and is happy to meet new people. A gentle dog, she is the perfect size to take on walks. She is housebroken using a dog door or regular walks. Sissy is treat motivated and gently takes her meds hidden in cheese. Bonus: she doesn't bark or cower at thunder or fireworks. Sissy is available for adoption with age appropriate vaccines and will be spayed.
