My story

A volunteer writes:Oliver is the cutest! A petite damsel, always shy initially in our encounters but ending up behaving like an adorable little clown full of fun and love(see all her photos and video). Oliver was not as I just described her when she first arrived at the care center. She was scared and likely wondering where was her family and what was this place she landed in. Time did its job and Oliver is now such a pleasure to spend time with. She is so welcoming, so sweet and such a pretty sight! Oliver is with us as her behavior changed around the birth of her kittens. This "cute and miraculous" event  to many people did not agree with her. Her behavior changed, she started guarding her food and became upset with her brood and her owners. Oliver was then brought to the Manhattan Care Center for us to find her a home where she could be happy, thrive and be the best and most loving pet on earth. Oliver is ready to find her new family, rather with no other cats, young children and preferably with experienced pet parents. Oliver is a little jewel... Come and meet her very soon!.She is already spayed and could go home today!I can go home today!I lived with children in my previous home.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them. The staff think I would do best in a home where there are no other cats.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. Primary Color: Tabby Weight: 8.3 Age: 1yrs 2mths 2wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Oliver, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
