Talk about main character energy, social butterfly, life of the party, and a total hoot!! His name Larry Barry and he has the best personality, hands down. He brings so much joy, happiness, and brightens the room with his happy go lucky energy. Larry is your personal ray of sunshine. There will be no bad days with Larry by your side. Watch his video and fall in love with this goofy loving guy: https://youtu.be/x0l-Zvf8uh4?si=UFLvJaCsrxGiBqDR Larry Barry is a pittie mix approximately 8 months old and currently weighs 34lbs and growing. He is on the smaller side and although we don’t know how much growing he has left, we don’t suspect he’s going to get much bigger. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. It's a given this bundle of joy is absolutely adorable and such a happy guy but he is so much more than that. He loves every person he meets and loves people! When people first meet him they instantly comment on how adorable he is and how happy he is! Larry is a go with the flow type of fella that is happy regardless of where he is or who he is with. Thats not my favorite thing about him though. The way he plays with toys and tossing them in the air like he's air bud and the way he hops around when he's excited is by far my favorite thing about him. I just love his personality so much and his goofy personality. Larry is very dog friendly and loves to make friends with other dogs. He has been around dogs all with different temperaments, from large dominant males to submissive quiet ladies, and his personal favorite…the playful party pups. Larry loves to play with other dogs and has the best time romping around, wrestling, playing chase, sharing toys, and he also enjoys just hanging out too. He's not all about bringing the party vibes all the time, he appreciates down time and relaxing at the house with his new friend. Larry would do great in a home with another playful dog like him or could even go to doggy day care if you don't have another dog. He'll love the play time and will be snoozing away on the couch after day care. Larry would also be best placed in a home with no kitty friends as well. He thinks cats are really fun to chase and that's no fun for you or the cat in the home. When it comes to training, Larry loves treats and will do anything for a tasty snack! He already knows how to sit, is crate and potty trained, and walks well on a leash, even for his age. He also does well tandem walking next to another dog! Future pack walk pup right here. He will be a great dog to take with you on hikes, walks at the park, or even potential trips to the beach. His ideal home would have a backyard where he can zoom around, play with his toys, and sunbathe during those nice summer days. He loves people and is a social butterfly, so if you're someone that likes to host, have friends over for backyard BBQ's, Larry will be right there in the midst of all the entertainment. I'm sure he will be on of the main talking points in all your conversations as well. We haven't seen Larry around kids just yet but based off what we've seen so far, we believe he would make a great family dog to grow up with your kids. We are willing to test Larry Barry with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
