My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Online Adoption Application!   longest shelter resident- needs foster or adopterMillie had an adopter, then they no showed when it was time to pick her up.-Millie has overcame so much in her short life but now she desperately needs out of the shelter ASAP. Hard decisions will have to be made sooner than later, considering her wellbeing in a shelter kennel. -Millie went for a dog day out today, where we got to see her true self outside the stressful kennel environment. She’s gentle with treats, enjoys car rides, walks well on a leash & house trained. She knows how to sit & lay on command. On her weekend trip, Millie showed us she is PROFESSIONAL napper. Her hobbies include lake days, a little swimming, and lap hoping. She wants all the love!-She is dog selective, she doesn’t mind small dogs but would need a meet greet with anything her size or larger. Millie is very cat curious, she needs a home without any feline friends. -She may be picky about her cat and dog siblings, but Millie LOVES humans. She loves kids. She’s gentle and very loyal. -If you are looking for a couch potato, a passenger princess, or just a sweet mini hippo to add to your family, Millie is your girl. Millie is located at Ohio County Animal Shelter.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  If you are interested in meeting any of our babies, please complete an online application at https://kykittycats.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6024 If you don't see pictures on Petfinder, please go to our website to view at www.kykittycats.com and we always have a waiting list that hasn't been posted yet.  We are a super small, no kill rescue that is operating way above our capacity. We have taken in over 600 animals in 2024, and we desperately need good adopters, fosters, and sponsors to keep the doors open.  We operate solely on donations, and we are always looking for wonderful families to join our efforts. We have dozens of felines not posted and dozens more on our waiting list. No matter what type of setting you have, if you are looking to save a feline, we can find one for you to help. It typically it cost us $60-80 to fully vet a feline and $80-120 to vet a canine depending on size and health conditions and sex. Please visit and like our social media pages...  https://www.facebook.com/kykitties   https://instagram.com/kentuckykittycats?igshid=11qfoexi4imaf   and now we are on TIKTOK! Our PayPal and Venmo is under kykittycats@yahoo.com and our cash app is $kykittycats All donations are much appreciated, and feel free to designate how you want them spent. If you are interested in sponsoring an animal, just list their name in the comments.    July 14, 2025, 5:04 pm
