My story

Meet Petunia! She is a 5yr old female mixed breed that weighs 73lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray on 7/14. It appears this sweet girl had been on her own for a while, so she was given the spa treatment shortly after arriving. She did very well getting a bath and felt so much better after. And she is a beauty! Deep loving brown eyes, and a half mask over her left eye. She has a sweet, gentle, clam and loving personality. Petunia walks great on a leash, and appears she may be housetrained as she kept her kennel clean. Walking through the shelter she did not show any interest in meeting the other dogs, but we do ask if you have another dog in the home to please ask the shelter for a dog test. She hopes that her final loving family will take her home where she has a secured backyard to stretch her legs in, but will live indoors, sleeping soundly in her own dog bed or cuddling close with her human companions. She is a true gem! Come meet Petunia!
