We love a polite and gentle queen! Meet Junie Juno! The perfect husky girl who has the best good doggy qualities! Juno is the kind of girl who teaches you that the best things in life sometimes come in floofy packages! If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in watching a quiet soul bloom into a playful, loving companion, Junie Juno might just be your perfect match! We believe that Junie is a husky mix around 10 months old and weighs approximately 38 pounds. She is a petite little thing with the SOFTEST coat ever! Her coloring and beautiful eyes make her look like a regal ice queen. She is a stunning girl that is sure to turn heads wherever she goes. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed are our best guess and cannot be guaranteed. But just looking at her, there has got to be at least a little husky in her! I mean those eyes, that tail! Gorgeous! Check out Junie here: https://youtu.be/p02lgEk4q1o In her foster home, Junie lives with seven dogs! And while she gets along with everyone, it’s the puppies she gravitates toward. There’s something about their playful innocence that brings out her own. Once she’s comfortable, Junie transforms into a goofy, affectionate pup who loves to romp and explore! She may need a little time to decompress when she first arrives somewhere new as she can be unsure around new dogs who rush up to greet her. We watched her play chase with another dog in the yard, happy and free in the moment, before gently stepping back when she needed a break. She's excellent at knowing her limits, and she’ll thrive in a home that respects them too. She would do best with a canine companion who gives her space to settle in. But once she gets her bearings, her playful side shines through! Her foster (who has fostered about 75 huskies for 3LP) has nothing but praise for her, proudly declaring that Junie is the first husky she’s ever been able to crate without any drama! She sleeps peacefully through the night in her crate and has settled wonderfully into her foster routine. She’s also shown how special she can be with kids, especially her foster’s four-year-old nephew, who she delighted in playing with! She’s also cat tolerant, though she may not be particularly interested in becoming very best friends with the feline kind. When she met our housecat Biggie, she acknowledged his presence and then avoided conflict with him by going to the opposite side of the room. She’ll give a sniff, maybe jump back a bit in surprise, and then go about her day. A chill, dog-savvy cat would be her ideal feline roommate. While Junie might be a little shy at first, once she knows she’s safe, she leans right in, literally! During her visit with us, she melted into affection as our behavior coach Chelsea examined her! It was so cute watching her press gently against Chels with a relaxed, trusting body. This girl has so much love to give, and she’s just waiting for someone to show her she’s home for good! We think she’d do best in a home with a yard or in a quiet apartment with an active adopter. A medium energy dog buddy would be a great match to help her come out of her shell, and older, dog-savvy kids who can respect her pace would be ideal. Overall, Junie’s got all the attributes of being your very best and devoted friend! Whether she is your cuddle buddy while watching movies on the couch, your hiking buddy as you explore new trails, or your porch buddy as you sip coffee and experience the sunrise. Junie is ready to be your partner in this life. Does Junie sound like your type of girl? Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
