My story

We gave this gem of a girl the name of Pearl - pearl because she is precious, even though her former owner didn't think so.  Pearl and her brother (who was already saved by us and happily has an adoption pending) were left behind by their owner when they moved.  They were just discarded and left to fend for themselves after being used to a household.  It's still hard for us to understand why people would do this.   Luckily we were able to catch Pearl and get her to a temporary foster. Pearl is a pyrenees mix who the vet estimates to be about 5 years old.  She weighs 53 pounds.  She has received her vaccinations and has tested negative for heartworm.  She does have anaplasmosis which is treatable with a course of medication which she has already started.  She is scheduled to get spayed  and the vet will trim her toenails when she is under sedation.  They had grown so long that they deeply embedded themselves into her paw pads.  Poor girl.   Now that she is receiving proper care and attention we just need to find her a forever home.  She is described as being a super sweet, wonderful, and friendly girl.  Is your household looking for a precious gem like Pearl?  If yes, please apply to give her a happy, loving home. Personality: friendly, affectionate Good with: people of all ages (including kids), and dogs.  Has not been cat tested yet. Estimated date of birth: 7/15/20 Weight: 53 pounds Medical: vetted, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped Location: Currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next transport.  To apply to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/210286667669167 We always need fosters, please join us!  https://form.jotform.com/210257395409155 100% of all money received from adoption fees and donations goes directly back to support saving other dogs and cats in need.  FFLAR is a 501c(3) non-profit.   Please consider donating.  We appreciate your support!
