Duchess

My story

Duchess is a very sweet, eager to please, and friendly little gal. She is DREAMING of a retirement home where she can spend her days snoozing on your bed and watching movies while enjoying the sunshine. She is currently in a foster home and gets along well with three elderly cats and is tolerant of two LARGE floppy adult lab mixes. She would prefer to be the only dog or with an equally-lazy and calm dog. Duchess wants to be with humans 24/7 and is adjusting to being left at home for a few hours with her foster pet siblings. She prefers to run errands with you and is excellent in the car.  Duchess' FAVORITE things: Her own flluffy blanket to roll around in A dedicated spot on your bed Sunshine in the morning Slow walks in the flower garden Car rides Short walks to the mailbox and back Duchess' LEAST FAVORITE things: Eating when other pets eat - this girl prefers peace and quiet at meal time (don't we all?!) Being left alone - she wants to be your companion! Loud sudden noises - life inside a new home is full of new sounds and is taking some getting used to.  Long walks - she tires easily and would be best for a stroll to your mailbox and back (she's GREAT at letting you know when she's done walking). Her IDEAL adopter will be patient and loving as she adjusts into a spoiled life of love and attention. Your home environment should be calm and peaceful with lots of attention. She's very eager to please and warms up very quickly. Her true personality shows in just a few days and she's eager to dance for you when you walk in a room. Her tail wags with delight at the sight of you or your voice. Older children who are patient and kind would be a great fit (foster family has a pet-savvy 14 year old who Duchess ADORES).  Hoping to find her a foster-to-adopt or adopter.
