My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Goldie is a you cockapoo puppy, born in November 2024. While she may have been named for her coloring, her heart is pure gold as well. This is a sweet pup! She is 15 lbs and will likely fill out but not get a ton bigger. She is a puppy mill release so she is just learning about life on the outside and will need puppy training plus a little extra time to learn life things like going down stairs, walking on a leash, and walking through doorways (scary!). She is very social for a mill puppy, but is nervous of new situations and people, and is never too excited to come inside when she is playing outside (full disclosure, she can be hard to catch and thinks it is a very fun game but a little treat goes a long way). Once she gets to know you--she is super sweet and playful. She is friendly, snuggly and loves to cuddle. She is happy to sit on the couch next to you and watch everything going on. She would love another dog to play with and show her the ropes, but would also be okay on her own. She likes cats! She has not known any kids (probably ever), and was shy with the ones she met (briefly!) but should be great with them once she gets to know them. She is athletic and lanky and has legs for days--she loves to zoom and bounce around the yard. She is doing well on housetraining and goes outside on a schedule. She will need to be watched inside until she is fully trained. Goldie is fully vetted and up-to-date on vaccinations. This is an amazing pup! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination.
