My story

Oh! Hello there! Are you someone with gentle hands and a kind heart? Are you the one I’ve been waiting for? My name is Roo — yes, just like the little kangaroo from those lovely stories. And wouldn’t you know it? I’m a lot like him! I bounce when I’m excited (which is often), I play with great enthusiasm (especially if there’s a string involved), and I love very big for someone so small. I’m three years old — still young enough to be silly, but old enough to know the very best nap spots and when it’s time to settle down and purr. You should know something right away: I’m a Mama. I raised my babies with all the love my soft heart could hold, and oh, did I do a good job. I was patient, I was gentle, and I kept my little ones warm and safe every single day until they found homes of their own. It was hard to say goodbye, but I was so proud. Now, it’s my turn to be someone’s baby. Maybe yours? I’m the kind of kitty who understands moods, you see. If you’re feeling playful, I’m all wiggles and happy hops — I’ll chase feathers, tap your toes from under the couch, and leap straight into your lap with a chirp and a tail held high. If you’re tired or sad or just in need of some quiet, I’ll find my way beside you like a warm little moonbeam. I won’t ask for much — just to be close. I’ll press my forehead gently into your hand, or curl up on your chest, and I’ll purr and purr until your heart feels a little lighter. Sometimes, when I sit in the window, I imagine the home I dream of — soft blankets, sunny spots, laughter in the air, and a person (maybe even two or three!) who loves me just because I’m me. I wouldn’t mind other animals if they’re sweet and slow and speak the language of gentle. I’ve got good manners, and I’m good at sharing. But really, all I want is someone I can love — deeply, devotedly, joyfully. I guess you could say I’m made of equal parts honey and bounce. Sweet as a snuggle, and lively as a leaf on the wind. So if you’re looking for a companion with a soft soul and a playful heart — someone who’s known love and is ready to give it right back tenfold — maybe you’ll come meet me? I’ll be waiting, watching the door with big hopeful eyes, ready to leap into your arms and into the life we’ll share. With a soft purr and a hopeful heart, Roo 🐾

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Roo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
