My story

Oh, I can just picture it now—you bring home a nice, big cat tree for Libby, set it right in front of the window so she’s got the best view in the house. The birds, the sunshine, the neighbors walking by—she’s going to love it. And when you come home from work? Well, Libby will be right there waiting, ready to listen while you spill every last bit of your day’s gossip. And she’ll *purr* the whole time, mind you, while you pet her soft little head. See, Libby’s a sweetheart. She came from the streets, but oh no, she was never cut out for that rough life. Too refined for all that. She found herself this kind man who fed her every day on his porch, gave her love and attention—she thought she’d hit the jackpot. But then, oh, the poor dear, he passed away. Just broke everyone’s hearts. His family called Stray Cat Blues to help, and thank goodness they did. Now she’s in foster care, silently judging every one who walks by. Loves to be brushed, loves her pets, keeps the litter box so clean you’d think she was raised in a palace. Only thing is, she does *not* want to be picked up. Absolutely not. She will freeze up like a goat about to pass out. That’s her boundary, and we respect it, don’t we? But give her that window, that cat tree, your stories at the end of the day, and all the love she can soak up—and Libby will be your loyal little companion for life.
