My story

Hi, my name is Jack! I ams a big boy, but my love for people is even bigger! My ideal human would be someone who would let me sit on their lap while praising me on my biscuit making! My current obsession is being brushed like a king! Sometimes I can lose myself in the brushings and pets so much so that I kind of drool a little bit, oops! I haven't truly figured out the playing with toys thing yet but that red dot thing that flys around sometimes is pretty neat! So how did I end up needing a new home you ask? Well after dealing with urinary issues that my former humans couldn't help me fix I was taken to the vet to meet my end. Luckily for me, the humans at the vet recognized my value and knew I had so much more life to live and love to give! I was surrendered over and the tests to figure out my woes began! I indeed had a UTI that was cleared by medications and put on a special urinary diet. I have never felt this much relief in years! Now that that is taken care of I am ready for my new furever home. Ideally a home that only focuses on me, meaning no other furry siblings or small young children. I am also searching for a human that can continue feeding me my special diet and help me in my weight loss journey. Thank you for reading this epic tale about me! If you think you're this human, please make contact with my current human entourage at your earliest convenience!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jack Somerset, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
