My story

Oh sweet little Anna. She is approximately 6 to 8 months old although her paperwork says she is a year old. She is definitely not a year old yet. Anna currently weighs 8 pounds and will probably be closer to 10 pounds fully grown. She came in with 17 other dogs after she was confiscated by ACS from a house fire that she has miraculously survived. Anna is a silly girl when no one is looking. She is skittish and shy but comes around quickly. Anna has only ever known living with a bunch of dogs in squalor so it will take her some time to learn to puppy šŸ™‚ She is great with cats and dogs and well mannered older children Anna would do best in a home where there are other social, friendly, and happy dogs. She relies very heavily on the other dogs to learn what is safe, what to do and she is quite a copy cat. Anna would definitely not be happy as an only dog. It may take her some time to get comfortable with her humans, but she will attach herself to your dog extremely quickly. Although Anna has come from a bad situation, she is very young and trainable.. her entire new bright world is beginning and that is a tad scary for her but she is going to do great! When we are not looking she is always playing and exploring and running in and out of the doggie door and she does her little zoomies and appears to have just learned what toys are ,although she is still a tad confused about the squeaky ones šŸ˜‚ . It is truly a joy to watch her blossom every day and we cannot wait until she is in a home where she can continue to grow. Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given. To get approved please visit our website www.texaschihuahuarescuecanada.org to fill in an application to adopt.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Anna, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
