My story

Patches may bark in his kennel at CAP (likely because it’s a stressful environment), but at home, he’s a model of quiet good manners. He doesn’t even bark when the doorbell rings, and he politely ignores other barking dogs on walks.This sweet 6-year-old, 27-pound terrier just spent two weeks in a foster home recovering from a mild case of kennel cough, and his fosters couldn’t say enough good things: “Patches has been an A+ houseguest. He`s gentle, well-mannered, and completely charming. He`s great with kids, completely housebroken, never destructive, and perfectly happy to lounge at your feet while you read, work, or watch TV. He knows basic commands (especially if cheese is involved), and quickly learned the house rules: no jumping on people, sit before going out the door, and some furniture is off-limits.Patches has a playful side, too. Tennis balls are his jam, and he’s always up for a good game of fetch. He enjoys walks, adores being brushed, and takes baths like a trooper. He does like to chase cats but is a perfect gentleman with other dogs and children.If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, easygoing companion who’s equal parts cuddlebug and walking buddy, Patches is your guy.
