My story

Looking for love? So is Juliet — the sweetest Golden Retriever mix you'll ever meet! This petite pup may be small in size, but she's overflowing with sweetness. Juliet was found in a field in Bakersfield with her friend who was called Romeo. It took multiple attempts to trap her and once she was, they tried to have her help lure Romeo - but alas, no luck. Juliet was so scared and fearful, but in time she became more trusting. Now that she is safe, she is looking for her forever home that is up for a project, can give her the time she needs, and keep her safe. Juliet is very friendly meeting other dogs, curious but cautious. She needs help becoming more confident out in the world. She is also still learning how to be comfortable in the house and prefers to hangout in the backyard. Juliet is also still working on becoming housebroken but is learning quick! She will love walks, but is a flight risk because of her prior background, so who ever adopts her must be alert and able to handle her. Her current foster say she is happiest when she walks and they take her on 3-4 walks a day. She does not like to be crated but with some training could adjust and learn to like the crate as a safe space. Juliet's foster sibling also wanted us to make it clear that Juliet LOVES pup cups! She would do best in a home with another dog to help her come out of her shell and become more confident. Ideally a dog who can be alpha and show her the ropes of how to be a companion! If you are interested in learning more about Juliet and meeting her, please fill out an application on our website!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt JULIET, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
