Meet Sox — your daily dose of sunshine in puppy form ☀️ He’s enthusiastic in that “life is amazing and I must experience all of it right now” kind of way. Whether it’s making new friends (humans, dogs, squirrels, shadows—he doesn’t discriminate), or greeting you like you’ve just returned from war after being gone for five whole minutes, Sox is 100% committed to being the happiest little guy in the room. He’s the kind of puppy who believes every lap was made for sitting, every squeaky toy deserves a good squeaking, and every stranger is just a cuddle waiting to happen. Friendly? Oh, absolutely. He’s basically a walking, wagging welcome committee wrapped in fluff. If you're looking for a best friend who will make even your worst days better just by being himself, Sox is ready to bounce into your heart—and probably your arms—at full speed. 💙 Sox is a 20-pound fuzzball with the charm of a rom-com lead and the fluff levels of a winter sweater you can’t put in the dryer. At just 3 months old, Sox has already perfected the art of stealing hearts and snack opportunities with equal skill. Found abandoned but scooped up by some kind souls who knew a good boy when they saw one, Sox landed in rescue and is now ready for his next starring role: Your Best Friend Forever. He’s a Great Pyrenees mix (with a strong possibility of Aussie, and maybe a dash of Bernese Mountain Dog thrown in), which basically means he’s destined to be gorgeous, loyal, and just the right amount of stubborn. His markings are striking, but it’s his personality that will get you — he's all wagging tail, happy hops, and cuddles that could disarm even the grumpiest morning person. At the end of the day, though, it doesn’t matter what mix he is......because once you meet Sox, you’re going to be head over heels. (Get it? Sox? Heels? We’ll see ourselves out. But seriously—he’s adorable.) Sox is that one friend who shows up to the party and somehow knows everyone within five minutes. He’s confident, outgoing, and absolutely convinced that every dog he meets is just a playdate waiting to happen. Sox hasn’t been around kids in his foster home, but he’s not a biter, and he’s got that go-with-the-flow, cuddle-me energy that screams “future child’s shadow.” The kind of pup who’ll happily follow a toddler around collecting crumbs and praise in equal measure. As for cats—well, there aren’t any in his foster home, but Sox is such a friendly little optimist that he’d probably assume the cat is just a confused dog who hasn’t figured out how to have fun yet. New people? Oh, prepare to be greeted like a long-lost celebrity. Sox doesn’t do aloof. He’s more of a “launch into your arms and immediately demand affection” kind of guy. Subtlety is not in his vocabulary, but then again, who needs subtle when you’ve got charm, fluff, and a tail that operates at helicopter speed? Bottom line: if you’re looking for a confident, joyful pup with the social skills of a golden retriever at a puppy prom—Sox is your guy. Sox runs a solid 7 out of 10 on the energy scale — basically, if a Labrador and a toddler on a sugar high had a brainstorming session, but with slightly better emotional regulation. He’s down to play, down to chill, and always down to supervise whatever nonsense the humans are up to. His favorite activities include wading like a majestic baby hippo in the fountain, launching half-hearted attempts at squirrel herding, and doing some casual landscaping (read: digging). Indoors, he’s all about the stuffed animals. When it comes to car rides, he’s got two modes: Play a bit, nap a bit, repeat. He’s not trying to take the wheel or scream at every turn. Friendly at the vet too — which automatically puts him in the top 5% of dogs who don’t treat the exam table like lava. Leash walking? Let’s just say we haven’t unlocked that level yet. He’s still in the “free-range backyard enthusiast” stage of life. Temperament-wise, Sox is basically the chillest member of the puppy party. Fireworks? Whatever. While the older dogs were losing their minds, Sox and his friend Wrigley were out there vibing like it was just another Tuesday. He’s got that sweet, balanced mix of curious and calm — like a puppy who read one self-help book and now thinks he’s a life coach. Sox thrives with a yard to zoom and sniff in, but when the heat hits, he’s perfectly content flopping dramatically in the AC with his favorite toys like a dog-shaped throw pillow. Apartment life? Maybe, if you’re ready to be his personal playmate and chauffeur. Yard life? Ideal. Either way, he’s already picked you as his favorite human — you just don’t know it yet. Let’s just get this out of the way: if you’re looking for a puppy who arrived pre-programmed with perfect manners, zero bathroom accidents, and flawless leash etiquette… Sox is not your guy. He’s three months old. His brain is still mostly marshmallow fluff and snack thoughts. Potty training? It’s a work in progress. Sometimes he nails it. Sometimes he forgets what planet he’s on. That’s puppy life. Socialization? He’s got a great start, but it’s on you to keep that going. If you plan to hide him in your house like a rare collectible, he’ll likely grow into a nervous weirdo who barks at ceiling fans and panics when a leaf blows by. If you want a confident, friendly adult dog? That’s going to take time, patience, and a willingness to introduce him to the world (and possibly explain things like why skateboards aren’t demons). So no, Sox isn’t a plug-and-play dog for someone who wants instant perfection. But if you’re willing to put in the work, you’ll end up with a loyal, happy, wonderfully quirky dog who thinks you hung the moon. So, if you're sitting there thinking, “I need this fluffy land cloud in my life immediately,” you’re not wrong. But slow your roll—there’s a process. First, you’ve got to fill out an adoption application. at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app Yes, even for a perfect boy like Sox. We don’t just hand out adorable puppies like Halloween candy. And yes—you do have to pick him up in Tulsa, OK.
