My story

Shay and her sister Rubie came to CAMO Rescue after being surrendered by their breeder. They are cocker spaniel/poodle mix sisters, born on 5/12/25. Shay is the larger of the 2 girls weighing just under 5lbs. Both girls have a condition called microphthalmia which is a congenital defect causing both eyes to be abnormally small. It is also associated with blindness. Shay has a small amount of sight but stays close to Rubie to help her navigate her surroundings. Because of their disabilities, the girls have bonded to each other and get anxious when they are separated. When together, they are such happy little girls. They love playing with toys, chewing on puppy bones and snuggling with each other. They are both starting to learn crate training and potty training but they're still quite young to master either. Both girls are fully vaccinated. They will be spayed around 6 months of age and this is included in your adoption fee. A signed spay contract will be required at the time of adoption. Adoption fee is: $650 (bonded pair) ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022
