My story

*** Porcupine, Gopher & Mara are in a foster home. ***Porcupine #19751: black & white bicolor, short hair, neutered male, born 4/22/25Gopher #19753: brown tabby & white, short hair, spayed female, born 4/22/25Mara #19754: black/gray/white/orange tabico, short hair, spayed female, born 4/22/25Cats: must have energetic playmateDogs: unknownChildren: gentle elementary+BACKGROUND: These kittens were born in foster care after their pregnant mother lost her home when an immunocompromised family member had to move in. Since their mom’s name is Mouse, they were named for a variety of fun and cute rodents!PERSONALITY: They are sweet fiends for string and wand toys!---Porcupine (fondly called Porky) has always been the biggest as the only boy; he’s no bully to his sisters, but he can be a bit of a toy hog. His mission is to always be the first to a dangly wand toy.---Gopher enjoys the strings and dangly toys as much as her siblings. She needs a few days getting to know you to be comfortable in your arms, and then the purrs get going…---Mara (pink nose) is a sensitive girl around strangers. Once you’re familiar, though, you’ll have a steady buddy. Strings? Get out of the way!COMPATIBILITY: Kittens do best when they have similarly aged and energetic playmates, and these are no exception. We highly recommend adopting siblings! They will each need to be adopted with another kitten or to a household with a high-energy cat willing to jump in the fray. They get along with the resident adult cats in their foster home and seem to know when to play or keep a distance depending on the big one’s moods. They have not met dogs. Gentle children elementary age and up should be fine.Who will bring the fun to your life?

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gopher, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
