My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Django was born at our shelter in Aug., 2020 and adopted as a young puppy. He has always lived in the same home. His family dynamic has recently changed dramatically and they have made the difficult decision to find him a new home. Due to overcrowding at our shelter, Django is still living with them and we're hoping to get some interest in him without bringing him to the shelter. He is fully vetted and his adoption fee will be paid by his current family. Django is a really big boy and can be pretty protective of his person/people. With his people he's very loyal and loving. He was raised with a smaller dog and cats. He's looking for a home with some experience with large, strong dogs. He will require good exercise and a home in which he's not left alone for long hours. He's not a dog for apartment living. ADULT only home. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.  We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 11, 2025, 10:10 pm
