My story

🐾 Meet Ethel – A Gentle Soul Seeking Peace and ComfortBreed: Domestic ShorthairAge: 10 YearsColor: Tiger & WhiteLately, we've been seeing far too many heartbreaking cases — beloved pets left behind after their owners pass away. Ethel is one of them. This quiet, 10-year-old beauty lost the only home she’s ever known and is now searching for a soft place to land. Ethel is gentle, sweet, and easy to love. She doesn't ask for much — just a warm bed, a calm environment, and someone with a kind heart who will let her feel safe again. With her soft tiger-and-white fur and her soulful eyes, Ethel is the picture of quiet resilience. She's not demanding or needy — she simply wants to belong again.Ethel would do best in a peaceful home where she can rest, relax, and enjoy the comfort she truly deserves in her golden years. If you believe every pet deserves love, no matter their age, Ethel is waiting for you.šŸ“ Available at Chequamegon Humane Association šŸ“ž Contact 715.682.9744 to meet Ethel and give her the second chance she’s quietly hoping for.All cats and dogs adopted from the Chequamegon Humane Association are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. Dogs are tested for heartworm. A minimum adoption fee of $185 is required for adult dogs, puppy adoption fees start $300, and dogs over the age of 10 are $100. Adult cat adoption fees are $85, kittens under one year are $135, and cats over the age of 10 are $50.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ethel / Harold, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
