My story

Meet Crocus! Crocus came to CCHS with his 7 siblings from a local farm earlier this May. They are all named after flowers, in honor of the Spring season! They are Heeler mixes, and are 10 weeks old (estimated DOB 3/10/25). Crocus is super cute with a short-haired coat that is black and white. Crocus currently weighs 8.6#. These are all typical Heeler puppies, with a curious sense of exploration of what's going on around them. They have happy personalities, always excited to see our volunteers and visitors. They will also be active and energetic puppies, ready for lots of adventures with their new people. With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the pup. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption.CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going.
