My story

My adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!My name is Deeogee (DOG spelled out!), and I came to the shelter as from another organization, so my history is a bit unknown. Hello! I was transferred from another shelter so my history is mostly a mystery. Like many dogs in NC, I am currently heartworm positive, but don`t worry - OCAS will be providing treatment. If you`re interested in adopting me, please ask staff for more information. In North Carolina, it`s unfortunately common to see many dogs that are infected with heartworms (they are transmitted by mosquito bites). Heartworm disease may cause severe lung disease, heart failure, or other organ damage in dogs. It`s usually fatal if left untreated. Heartworm treatment is costly. With your support, OCAS can help more dogs with this disease - resulting in healthier dogs that are even more likely to get adopted. Please consider donating to our GoFundMe campaign.Insights from my foster:Deogee (D-O-G) is the goodest boy! He is just the right amount playful and active, but also knows when it’s time to relax and cuddle. He is friendly with all people and would be a great addition to any family. He tends to get excited around new people and other dogs, and may jump up on you to give you a hug. He likes long walks/runs and playing with his toys. He does not like thunder or loud noises. He is potty trained and knows basic commands. He responds to Deogee, Deo, and Dee. He really is the perfect dog, and his future family is very lucky!-Foster parent

If you have any questions or would like to adopt DEOGEE**, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
