My story

🐾 Meet Chloe – Your New Best Friend! Breed: Beagle Mix Age: 9 weeks (DOB: 4/30/2025) Weight: 6 lbs (and growing!) Good with: Other dogs, people, and playful energy! 🐶 About Chloe: Chloe is a sweet, playful little pup. She came to us along with 13 other pups who were left in plastic crates on a boat ramp. We think whoever left them there was interrupted on their way to dispose of these pups in an atrocious manner. Thankfully they were found by a responsible person who got them to safety. At just 9 weeks old she enjoys tumbling around with her siblings or entertaining herself with a favorite toy. She’s incredibly smart, eager to learn. With her soft floppy ears, spotted paws, and bright eyes, Chloe is impossible not to fall for. She currently weighs 6 pounds and is expected to grow into a medium-sized adult — likely around 35–45 lbs. 🐕 Beagle Mix Perks: Chloe appears to be part Beagle, which means she may grow into a wonderful companion with some classic Beagle traits: Friendly & Social – Beagles are known for being affectionate with family and great with kids. Smart & Curious – They love to sniff, explore, and learn new things! Playful & Energetic – Perfect for active families who enjoy walks, games, and adventures. Chloe's mix may help balance out some of the Beagle’s vocal tendencies, but she’s still likely to enjoy using her voice to get your attention (and maybe to tell you all about the squirrel she just saw 🐿️). 💡 Ideal Home: Chloe would thrive in a home that’s ready to raise a puppy with patience, consistency, and lots of love. A fenced yard is a plus, and she’d love another playful dog friend — or a family that can keep up with her fun-loving personality. Puppy training, belly rubs, and playtime are all high on her priority list. All Heart of America dogs are altered, micro chipped and will have age-appropriate vaccines.
