My story

Meet Coconut 🥥 Hi! I’m Coconut — a sweet, independent female kitty with a big heart and a brave story. My life didn’t start out easy. I was living outside an apartment complex with my mom and sibling, trying to survive. We were hungry and often got in the way of people walking by and eventually the manager called someone about us. That’s when my foster mom came to help. I didn’t trust her at first — can you blame me? I was scared. Kids and some adults had been mean to me: hitting me with bikes, kicking me, even throwing me. I learned to be cautious because I had to protect myself. So, I learned not to trust humans. But my foster mom was patient and kind, and slowly, I learned that not all people are mean. over time, I realized she wasn’t like the others. Now? I love her. I’m still an independent soul — I like doing my own thing — but I enjoy cuddles in small doses. I LOVE toys and playtime! I’m kennel-trained, litter box-trained, and I get along great with other cats. If you’re someone who respects my boundaries and gives me love on my terms, I promise I’ll be a loyal, playful companion. I’m about 5 months old, fully vetted, and spayed — all ready for my forever home. If you’re looking for a brave little survivor with a playful streak and a lot of heart, I just might be your girl. 💕

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Coconut BDL, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
