My story

Meet Lucky Charm, a 2-year-old, 70 lb pup who’s ready to find his perfect match! With his playful energy and adventurous spirit, Lucky Charm would make an excellent hiking and adventure buddy. He walks beautifully on leash, is housetrained, and is always eager to explore the world by your side. Structure is the key to Lucky Charm’s success—he thrives when he has clear expectations and consistency. While he can be mouthy and jumpy when he gets excited, he responds well to redirection and is eager to please. Because of his energy and play style, Lucky Charm would do best with dog-savvy owners who can provide the guidance he needs. This handsome boy has done well with some dogs, though he has a specific way of playing, and he’s not a match for cats or small children. He’s very treat motivated, playful, and enjoys toys, which makes training and bonding both fun and rewarding. Lucky Charm has shown that he does well in public settings when handled with structure, and he’s affectionate and loving with his people. He also enjoys splashing in water, adding to his list of favorite activities! If you’re an experienced dog owner looking for a smart, active, and affectionate companion to share in adventures, Lucky Charm could be the perfect fit for you. As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. To meet your new pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
