Leuven aka Louie

My story

Say hello to our new  3 month old pups! Leuven and Durbuy just arrived in our care and headed to their foster homes via a ride with the volunteer pilots from Pilots and Paws.  Leuven with Louie as his nickname is a happy, exhuberant, black and tan puppy who adores treats and happy to earn them. He's got sit, down mastered and working on reliable stays. Potty and crate trained, he sleeps through the night. He loves other dogs, climbing on agility gear and exploring the yard. Born to a lovely Mal mama who has already been adopted, we suspect he's a mal/gsd mix. On his way to the flight deck, he easily walked through the airport on leash, happily took treats from the pilot and waited with a concern in the world to be lifted in to the crate on the plane.  We'll update their bios once they're settled in their respective foster homes. Louie is living with one of our alum shepherds until he's adopted.  These boys were born in the care of Foster & Paws, a rescue that focuses on dogs who end up in shelters while pregnant. Since their focus is not breed specific to shepherd mixes, we said yes to bringing the pups on board to our group.  Looie will thrive in a forever home committed to environmental exposure to continue the excellent foundation he's receiving in his foster home, ongoing training, and structure shepherd puppies need to grow into neutral adult dogs.  Have you checked out our YouTube channel?
