My story

Meet Bonita! She is a 34lb, 2yr old husky mix. She is utd on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative. Bonita was running loose for a few months, She was being fed but nobody was giving her the safety of a home so to the shelter she went. Being on the street and then in the shelter made her pretty defensive. But lucky for her, one of our fosters is a huge fan of huskies and took her in. In the safety of a foster home Bonita has blossomed. She has blended with the large dog family great, she can get toy possessive but she loves to play tug of war (she's the one who initiates it). She's no longer defensive and at times she talks and sings. She loves going on walks and is easily handled partly due to her small size. She met the cows and immediately started singing to them. Her foster family continues to work on her skills. One thing they are focused on is is her taking treats. With all the other bigger dogs she almost panics to get her treat. Her foster says "She's not biting my fingers and it's not aggressive but my fingers always seem to be in her mouth when she takes treats" She uses the crate during the day when her foster family leaves leave but the only time the door closes is when she's eating. At night she wants to snuggle and she's not super particular about who holds her. She tends to get her way because she just has a sad look and pouts when she is told no or scolded. Do you have a soft spot for cute, serenading huskies? Could Bonita be the one for you? Her adoption fee is $165. Submit your application today!
