My story

Tae is a 2-year-old pup who spent over two long months in the shelter, where the stress of that environment landed him on the euthanasia list. We are so grateful to have a foster that stepped up just in time. This sweet, friendly, snuggly boy had shown nothing but love for people. When our volunteer met him at the shelter, Tae climbed right into her lap and soaked up all the affection he could get.  He’s a little nervous in new situations, but Tae has shown a friendly temperament and just wants a human to trust. Tae was nervous his first couple of days in his foster home but settled in quickly and began exploring his new space — he is a very curious boy! He’s active and playful, but not over the top. He gets along well with the other dogs in the home and even seems okay with the cat! He’s still learning some manners (like that trash cans aren’t for snacking and that jumping up for attention isn’t necessary), but he’s highly responsive to verbal correction. Continued training and reinforcement should easily correct these behaviors. He listens well, walks nicely on leash, and is happy to relax in his crate when needed. His favorite things are belly rubs, cuddles, and being close to his people. He’s an adaptable, affectionate dog who takes his cues from the energy around him. Tae would thrive in an active home that can care for his energy. He’s currently doing great with the other dogs  in his foster home and has even done well with the resident cat. Because he can be unsure in new situations, he’d do best in a home with older kids (13+) who can give him space when needed and help him continue to build confidence. Once Tae finds his person, he sticks close — he takes loyalty to a whole new level. https://azhuskyrescue.com/adoption-application/

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tae, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
