My story

Logan is a 3-year-old pup who came to us from MCACC, where he was too scared and shut down to even be taken out on leash. Thankfully, with patience from shelter staff and volunteers, Logan began to trust again and made his way safely into our care. Logan spent a few months in a foster home before he unfortunately was moved to boarding. After a bit in boarding, we had another amazing foster volunteer to take Logan in and he is happier than ever to be in a home again! It only took Logan a few days to settle in to his new foster home and learn the routine. He loves being near his people and will happily follow you from room to room just to be part of whatever you’re doing. He is a medium-energy boy who enjoys walks, belly rubs, meal time, and quality time with his family. He can be a little mouthy when excited, but he redirects easily with verbal correction. Logan has come a long way with his house manners. He previously had some issues with marking inside the home, but that was quickly eliminated by teaching him how to ask to go outside. He is fully crate trained and actually finds comfort in his crate, happily settling in overnight or when left home alone. He had previously proved himself to be an escape artist though, so he currently uses an impact crate. Logan is also a very tall boy—perfect counter height—so unattended snacks (or even non-snacks) within reach may mysteriously disappear. He does wonderfully with the other larger dogs in his foster home and loves to play around the yard with them. While he could do well as an only dog, Logan would thrive in a home with another dog or with someone home often, as he can experience a bit of anxiety. He walks nicely on leash with minimal pulling—unless he catches an interesting scent, in which case he will be taking you to find that scent! Logan would do great almost any type of household—Whether a young active household, a family, or a quieter home looking for a loyal companion, he could be an excellent fit. Logan is friendly with visitors, warms up nicely to children, and would do well with kids ages 7 and up. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet, so we are unsure how he would act around them. He rarely barks, unless the other dogs are joining in and he decides he would hate to miss out. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, affectionate dog who will keep you laughing and make sure you never miss dinner, Logan is ready to be your new best friend. https://azhuskyrescue.com/adoption-application/

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Logan, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
