My story

Cattle dog mix female puppyWelcome Puff and her sister Dust, two little Queensland gals that were discarded like trash in the Apple Valley / Victorville area. That is all we know. We think they’re about 6 weeks old, so they’ll need a couple more weeks in rescue to ensure socialization before sailing into forever homes.   If by chance you’re approved and already have another resident dog or two, we’d consider sending them home as early as now. If this will be a solo dog, it’s going to have to wait…and no we won’t adopt them out together because, littermate syndrome, look it up if you aren’t familiar.   Here is what their foster has observed in a little less than 24 hours: Dust is very outgoing, curious, and friendly. She jumped right out of the crate to sniff around. Puff is a little more reserved but warms up quickly. She loves to snuggle. They are both very interested in our resident dogs and ran right up to them and licked their faces. Foster reports they’re hard to get pictures of because in true heeler fashion, they are glued to her side.   Located in Atascadero, CA. Pups will be dewormed, microchipped, on a vaccine schedule, and can go home on spay contracts.   More photos and updates:  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1485838935711089&type=3   Interested in Puff?  Please complete an application at: http://bit.ly/CCHDR_AppJuly 10, 2025, 7:03 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Puff, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
