Meet Max: A Tiny Chihuahua with a Big Heart At just 12 pounds, Max may be small but has the personality to be a huge loving part of your life! Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s currently living in a foster home where heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s proven himself to be a true social butterflyâ&#194&#128&#194&#148he adores other dogs and has even met cats for the very first time with ease (maybe because theyâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re his size!). Max was born with a congenital heart defect, but thanks to modern veterinary medicine, thereâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s real hope it can be corrected with surgery after his heartworm infection clears. With the right care and treatment, his future is looking brightâ&#194&#128&#194&#148and heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s ready to share it with a family who will love him as much as he deserves. At his core, Max is a gentle, affectionate companion who thrives on love and security. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s looking for a family that will not only give him the chance at a healthier life through his upcoming heart surgery, but also a lifetime of kindness, belly rubs, and soft beds. Mighty Max is available for pre-adoption and to be foster-to-adopt as he still has some medical needs we are working through. If you foster-to-adopt (FTA) Max, DPA will continue to cover his medical care until he is cleared for adoption. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
