My story

Margot is a tiny senior sweetheart, just 13 years old and weighing only 9.2 pounds. She was brought into Baldwin Park City Shelter as a stray on June 26th, and sadly, no one came looking for her. Now she was rescued by Shelter Hope from that loud, unfamiliar place where she felt confused and overwhelmed. Her medical exam revealed some challenges: heavy dental tartar, cloudy and dry eyes, saliva-stained feet, and prominent nipples. She also struggles to walk, likely due to IVDD or hip dysplasia. X-rays showed narrowing in her spinal discs and hip problems, and she may be partially or fully blind. Despite all this, Margot’s sweet spirit shines through. She has a charming little waddle that shows her unique personality and resilience. With the right care and a gentle home, Margot can enjoy her golden years filled with comfort, love, and peace. Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation. Please Keep in Mind: Due to high demand, especially for popular dogs, not all applicants will be contacted. Moreover, we may not reach out if we have already approved a family to adopt.
