Meet Seamus – A Senior Gentleman Looking for a Quiet, Loving HomeSeamus is a 14-year-old domestic shorthair with a soft orange coat, and a gentle soul. This sweet senior has spent many years as a beloved companion. Now, through no fault of his own, he’s looking for a quiet, understanding home where he can enjoy his golden years in peace. Seamus has a calm, mellow personality and enjoys lounging in cozy spots, watching the world go by from a sunny window, and spending quiet time near his people. He’s not demanding—just a steady, comforting presence in the home. While Seamus has many lovely qualities, he does come with a quirk: he has a long-standing issue with inconsistent litter box habits. His previous owners, as well as veterinarians, have explored this behavior and determined it is not medical in nature. He will occasionally go outside the litter box, so he would do best with someone who has experience with cats. Seamus may not be the right fit for every home, especially one with small children, but he could be the perfect match for someone who understands senior cats and wants to give one a safe, loving final chapter. If you have a quiet home, a big heart, and room for a special cat who still has plenty of love to give, Seamus would be so grateful for the chance to become part of your life. Could you be his retirement hero?If you`d like to meet our available animals, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton).
