My story

We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 7/14/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Rosie to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet Rosie! She is a purebred toy poodle. She is 2.5 years of age. She is spayed, microchipped, current on all of her vaccines, had a dental cleaning, was examined thourely by our vet, and has been cleared to find a home all her own! She weighs 7.44 lbs. She is small, petite, and at a very healthy weight ❤️ She is crate trained, and has no problem sleeping in a crate at night or when you step out of the home and need to leave her behind for a short while. However, she is amazing in the home, and would be just as happy hanging out in a sectioned off area til you get back home. Regardless of your use of the crate, or the need to confine her she will happily comply. She would love being in bed, or near you during the night so if that's where you would like her a change in where she sleeps will be an easy fix! She is working on leash confidence and in time will flourish with the right human leading the way. She didn't get much leash exposure from her prior home, but has been getting it since with us and has come along ways with understanding that it leads to one on one time with her humans and she definitely loves that part of it ❤️ She is house trained, and goes outside to use the restroom every 3-4 hours throughout the day. We do accompany her due to her small size and the various wildlife we have here to keep her safe. She waits patiently to be taken out so I do reccomend a good schedule in her next home so she can rely on her new humans, the way she does with us. She is great with other dogs, and cats alike. She has a very sweet disposition. She is very playful and loves her toys especially if they crinkle or squeak. She enjoys other playful sweet dogs or cats so if you have a friend to join her in life she would be very accepting of becoming their sister. If not, that's okay too! She would enjoy being spoiled having all eyes on her especially being able to recieve extra cuddles! She is not a barker, but will occasionally alert you of unfamiliar noises. She is very quick to listen, and can be redirected at any point. She aims to please and wants to make her humans happy, which has made training very easy overall with her! She is wonderful on road trips and loves going "bye bye" whenever given the opportunity to tag along with us around town. She is always ready for mini adventures, and I'm sure would love longer ones too! She is an amazing companion, and will make someone extremely happy having her a part of their lives 😊 She loves the groomer as she loves getting all dolled up and pretty so she can come home and be told how beautiful she is! Yes!! She soaks up all of your words of love and affirmation so we make sure to give her plenty of them 💕 Her prior owner had to move back home to take care of her ailing mother and couldn't bring her sweet girl with her. She wanted her life to be as it always was and knew her time would be extremely divided caring for her mom and knowing that wasn't fair for Rosie she reached out to us to take her in and find her the best home we could so here we are 💓 Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/rosie-1 It covers her spay, vaccines, microchip/registration, dental cleaning, her exam with our vet, the care involved in the months she has been with us, her grooming costs, and training we have been personally doing with her

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rosie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
