My story

Currently being fostered in West Point, VA Meet Reese – A Quiet Observer with a Gentle Heart Reese may be new to the world outside his litter, but he’s already showing signs of being a thoughtful and loving companion. He’s the braver of his sibling pair, slowly stepping into his confidence with each new day. Personality Reese is calm, gentle, and a little shy in new situations, but he warms up with quiet encouragement. He’s not particularly food motivated, but he responds beautifully to kind words and praise. He enjoys playing with his brother and meeting new people and friendly dogs at his own pace. While he has shown some mild resource guarding (with Kongs or toys), it’s limited and likely just part of learning to share. Energy Level Reese has a low to moderate energy level. He enjoys light play and short walks, followed by a cozy nap or some solo crate time. He’s not a high-energy pup and would thrive in a calm home where he can gain confidence and feel secure. Skills and Training - Working on potty training – off to a solid start - Crate training in progress – does well, especially overnight - Leash trained – walks well and enjoys a gentle stroll - Quiet – has only barked at donkeys (which is perfectly reasonable!) - Still learning – needs gentle encouragement for transitions like getting out of the car or going outside - Praise-motivated – loves being told he’s a good boy Companionship Reese would do best in a calm environment with older children or adults who can help him feel safe and supported. He would be happy as the only dog or alongside a submissive canine companion. He would not be a good fit for a household with a dominant dog. Love and Affection Reese is the quiet, steady type who values closeness and calm. He may not rush into your arms, but once he trusts you, he’ll stay nearby and soak up your presence. Thoughtful, observant, and quietly affectionate - he’s a hidden gem just waiting to shine. Included Veterinary Care: - Visit to veterinarian for health certificate - Up to date on vaccinations for his age - Neutered - Microchipped - Heartworm preventative - Flea and tick preventative - Worm/parasite treatments Reese is ready for a gentle, loving home where he can continue to blossom. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a quiet soul and a heart full of potential - Reese might be your perfect match.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Reese (Trio Bunch), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
