My story

Currently being fostered in West Point, VA Meet Randolph – A Gentle Soul Waiting to Blossom Randolph is a stunning young pup with a coat like swirled chocolate and the most soulful green-blue eyes—eyes that speak of longing, hope, and a heart that’s learning to trust. Though timid and deeply sensitive, he’s already showing signs that, with the right person, he’s ready to open up and bloom. Personality Randolph is shy, submissive, and incredibly gentle. He finds comfort in quiet places—his crate is his safe haven—and when overwhelmed, he will retreat there to process the world around him. Though nervous about touch and leashes, he will follow you willingly once he trusts you, padding quietly behind you, hoping for connection. He’s not bonded to his brother and seems more focused on building human relationships than canine ones. He’s a soft soul, full of promise. Energy Level Low energy. Randolph is content with quiet surroundings and light activity. He prefers to snooze beside his trusted human, offering a paw of affection. He isn’t ready for busy parks or loud homes but will happily share space with you in a peaceful setting. A stroll through a quiet yard or lounging in the sun would be his idea of a perfect day. Skills and Training - Crate trained – finds comfort in his crate and keeps it tidy - House trained – no accidents and not destructive - Leash wary – will follow if leash is dropped, but cowers when led - Training in progress – responds well to gentle redirection and praise - Fenced yard required – he can jump a 3-foot fence easily and needs a secure area to safely explore Companionship Randolph would thrive in a home that is calm and slow-paced. He is not suited for city life or loud, high-energy households. Older kids, a kind adult, or a single person who understands how to give him space and time will be his ideal match. He would do fine as the only dog or with a mellow, non-dominant canine friend. Love and Affection Though shy, Randolph is so eager to belong. Once he trusts you, he leans into you - curling beside you in bed, placing a paw on your lap, staying close without asking for much. He is not pushy for attention, but deeply grateful when it’s offered. He’s not afraid of love; he just doesn’t know yet how to ask for it. Included Veterinary Care: - Visit to veterinarian for health certificate - Up to date on vaccinations for his age - Neutered - Microchipped - Heartworm preventative - Flea and tick preventative - Worm/parasite treatments Randolph is a heart still unfolding, a soul that needs just the right light to fully bloom. If you're patient, gentle, and ready to walk beside him at his pace, he’ll reward you with quiet loyalty and a love that runs deep. Could you be the one to help him write his story of courage and trust?
