My story

Salamander is a beautiful black shorthair kitten with a curious heart, a playful spirit and a whole lot of love to give! She arrived at our shelter in late May with her uniquely named siblings (Turtle , Rattlesnake, Newt, Frog, and Toad) after being transferred from an overcrowded shelter. While her early background is a bit of a mystery, she’s spent time growing and socializing in a loving foster home and now thrives in one of our cage-free "free-roam" cat room, where she enjoys the company of several feline friends. This outgoing girl is incredibly social and has shown us she’s great with other cats. Whether it’s chasing toys, exploring new spaces, or curling up for a shared nap, Salamander loves to be in the mix. She would do especially well in a home with another friendly feline or two to keep her company. As with any kitten, adopters should be prepared for: * Lots of playtime – Kittens have tons of energy and need stimulation to stay happy and healthy. * Exploration and curiosity – Expect her to investigate every nook and cranny! * Health care and proper nutrition – Salamander has already been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, but ongoing care is key to a healthy life. With her easy-care short fur and her super-friendly personality, Salamander is an ideal match for a home looking to add a little energy, affection and fun. If you're ready to add a sleek, sweet and sociable little companion to your life, Salamander is waiting to meet you! The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times.
