Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue SWEETHEART SENIOR Meow! My name is Winnie, estimated date of birth  June 12, 2018. I’m a treasured favorite among volunteers here at Kitty Corner, known not only for my elegant, silky coat but for the tender soul beneath it—one that radiates warmth, patience, and quiet love. When I first arrived, I was a timid whisper of a cat—guarded, uncertain, and hesitant to trust. The bustle of the shelter world overwhelmed me, and I retreated inward, unsure of what to expect. But once I realized I was safe, my spirit blossomed into the gentle, affectionate companion I am today. Now, I seek out soft, loving strokes atop my head and respond to quiet, soothing voices with a gentle nuzzle or a contented sigh. My purr is a soft, steady hum—a comforting melody that speaks of my calm nature and deep appreciation for peace. One of my distinctive features is my ears: one stands proudly upright, while the other, uniquely shaped with a charming cauliflower curve, tells the story of my resilient journey. I thrive best in serene, quiet environments where gentle hands and soft words abound. Loud noises, busy households, or the presence of other cats cause me distress, so I would flourish most as the cherished only cat in a calm, adult-only home. Though I haven’t yet met dogs, a dog-free space would allow me the tranquility I need to truly thrive. Patient and loving, I’m here at Kitty Corner, quietly waiting for a compassionate soul who understands the beauty of a gentle heart and will offer me the peaceful forever home I deserve. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many  that are not posted yet.  Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives.  No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so).  We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.   We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year.  Visit bit.ly/DonateFLR for more info.
