My story

Hi there. My name’s Chi-Fu, and I’m searching for a fresh start after losing my person—the one who loved me most. When they passed away, my world turned upside down, and now I find myself here at the shelter, hoping someone out there will see the gentle soul that I am and take a chance on me. I’m a mellow, quiet little guy who would do best in an adult-only home or one with older, respectful kids. Loud noises and busy environments make me nervous—so a peaceful, quiet home is what my heart needs most. I’m sensitive and shy at first, but don’t let that fool you. Once I trust you, I’ll become your devoted little Velcro dog, happiest when I’m cuddled up next to you on the couch. I’m definitely an attention hog (guilty!), a full-blown cuddle bug, and a bit of a couch potato—basically, I’m your dream movie night companion. I’ve been told I’m smart and a quick learner, and with some patient guidance, I’ll do great with basic training and working on my leash manners. I’m already a pro when it comes to vet visits and grooming, so you won’t have to worry there. I’d thrive with someone who’s experienced with dogs like me—someone who understands that building trust takes time and love. If you give me that, I’ll give you everything I’ve got in return: loyalty, sweetness, and a whole lot of heart.
