My story

ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Danny Age: 2 yrs old Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Retriever/ Jindo mix Colour: Cream Weight: 19.5kg / 43lbs Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! I’m Danny — Maon’s brother and partner in crime. We were both just about 2 months old when we found ourselves at the city pound, not quite sure how we got there. Thankfully, some kind-hearted rescuers saw us and brought us out together, giving us a second chance at a happy life!   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY I guess shyness runs in the family! Just like my brother Maon, I’m a bit shy when I meet new people, but I’m also super sweet and gentle. Give me a little time and some tasty treats, and I’ll warm right up — ready to accept pets and show you lots of love. I’m even cuter in person, I promise! I’ve got the overall shape of a Jindo with these adorable downward brown ears that remind you of a retriever. I don’t guard my food from dogs or people, and I get along great with my furry friends!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m a little shy when we first meet, but with gentle introductions, I quickly start to feel at ease. Once I trust you, I’ll gently take treats from your hand and warm up in no time. I’m a sweet, gentle boy, ready to share my quiet love with someone special. Volunteers and staff say I’m a bit more timid than my brother Maon, but don’t let that fool you! When I trust you, I love to stick close and follow you around like a loyal shadow. I haven’t spent much time around kids under 13, but with thoughtful, respectful introductions, I’m confident I’ll become their loyal guardian.   With Dogs:  Although I can be a bit shy around new people, I’m great with my doggy friends! I have a good sense of when to jump into play and when to take it slow, always tuning in to what my playmates want. I love meeting new pups and enjoy a friendly greeting — and if we don’t click right away, I’m happy to dive into play and break the ice. Making new friends is one of my favorite things!   With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, but with a slow and thoughtful introduction, I think I could learn to live peacefully with a feline friend.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I’ve got a moderate energy level — I love being outside exploring and playing with my dog friends, but I’m just as happy to chill out and relax in a cozy spot when I’m indoors. I really enjoy a good mix of fun and downtime! One of my favorite things is playing with my brother Maon — we make a great team.   TRAINING & HABITS I generally follow my handler’s lead but sometimes get a little eager and pull when something catches my interest. Sudden movements or loud noises can startle me, and my natural instinct is to try to run away to stay safe. That’s why it’s really important for me to be double-leashed—with both a harness and collar—and wear a GPS tracker whenever I’m outside.   I’m learning to build my confidence every day, and with the right support from my family, I know I’ll keep improving. I don’t guard my food from people or dogs, and I’m very quiet overall. I also know how to rest calmly in my kennel and prefer to go potty outside. I’m pretty easygoing and not fussy at all.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. Ideally, a loving home with another calm and confident dog sibling my size — a perfect companion to share adventures and quiet moments with. A patient family who understands my fear of sudden movements and loud noises, and is willing to use positive reinforcement to help me build confidence.   SPECIAL NOTES Volunteers and staff say I’m the shyest of my siblings, but I absolutely love spending time with them—especially Daon. We’re best friends, and I really enjoy playing and leaning on him for comfort. Don’t let my shy exterior fool you though; beneath it all, I’m a sweet, gentle, and loyal soul just waiting for a little encouragement to come out of my shell. I carry a lot of that classic retriever personality—devoted and eager to be by my forever family’s side. I truly depend on people for support and can’t wait to find someone to lean on and love. ##2455343##
