Just a year old herself, she was likely once someone’s pet — until pregnancy, abandonment, or life outdoors changed everything. Now safe and loved, Vanille is slowly learning that people can be kind again. She’s incredibly shy and finds comfort in quiet spaces, often retreating under the bed after meals or litter box breaks. But with patience and gentle consistency, her soft side begins to shine — she’ll rub your legs, accept delicate pets, and meow the tiniest little meows when her food or water bowls run low. And here’s the part that hurts to say out loud… Vanille has been at the café for months and no one has applied for her. No interest. No “can I meet her?” messages. Just day after day of being quietly overlooked while she waits. She’s not a clingy cat, and she may never be a lap cat — and that’s okay. Vanille simply needs a peaceful, stable home where she’s allowed to exist safely and quietly while continuing to heal at her own pace.
