My story

Meet Dakota!Dakota is an eight-year-old, 40-pound female Terrier Mix. She was surrendered to the shelter because her owners didn`t keep up with her allergy medications. She has hair loss and her skin shows the years of suffering from her allergies. Her skin condition is not contagious. She is on the mend with antibiotics and allergy medications. She was allergy tested by her previous owners in 2020, which showed allergies to most grasses, some trees, feathers, and dust mites. Her allergies will need to be managed and monitored for the rest her life. She is heartworm-negative, spayed, current on all shots, and house and crate trained. She is very loving and gentle. She does like walks. She gets along with other dogs. She does not jump up on furniture. She will spend most of her time snuggled on a blanket or dog bed.Dakota is a laid back, calm senior dog that will thrive in a loving home with an adopter who is willing to manage her allergies and provide her with the medications needed to keep her allergies in check.
